Leaning in

to a good thing

You know that good feeling you get when you find something you love and then you just lean into it? That has happened recently with my personification poems.

I started doing months of the year and now have added days of the week and I’m really loving it. Why? I’m not entirely sure why it feeds my soul so much, but someone messaged me saying that the poems make the ordinary feel special and I was like YES, thank you for putting that into words. I’ve always said that one of my favorite things about writing is finding magic in the ordinary and I think maybe this series let’s me do that in a big way.

So I present to you: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Wednesday (Tuesday and Thursday forthcoming…).
