Same for the holidays
A poem and three things
Hi friends,
Happy official start to the holiday season! May it bring us more magical moments with the people we love and less stress about what those magical moments “should” look like.
Sharing a few poems below from Same and an offer for a giveaway. If these poems resonate, comment below or email me who you’d like to share them with and I’ll enter you in a giveaway for a free book, bookmark and poetry print to give to someone you love this holiday season.
3 things that brought me (unexpected) joy this week:
The day before Thanksgiving errands. This is a weird one but for some reason, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving always feels like a bonus day and getting a few things checked off my to do list before the holiday weekend made me feel organized and inspired.
Discovering cotton overalls I thought I lost at the bottom of a basket (is there anything better than realizing you didn’t lose something you love after all?)
The realization that the best way to have a house full of holiday decorations is to *slowly* accumulate them over the years. Leaning into this instead of feeling frustrated that my house doesn’t look like the holiday one of my dreams.
Same News
I am extremely biased, but my gift recommendation of the season is Same. If you’re planning to gift it to people you love, enter it as a Same party and I’ll send you bookmarks, pins and poetry prints to make it even more festive.
I’ll be doing readings in Fairfield, Connecticut next Thursday (December 4) and Wilmington, Delaware on December 12. Please come if you’re in the area- I’d love to meet you!
Hugs,
Hannah

For my daughter = for me. I can’t think of a more powerful
motivator & yes, yes, yes to what you said.
